This hotel offers the closest accommodation to Clearwell Castle, valued throughout, resting only a couple of hundred yards away. Customers appreciate the hotel was originally a manor house and then a public house that has grown in size and reputation to become a fine hotel. The building dates back to the 13th century and boasts old oak floors, and above all, beams and open fireplaces. It has 5 standard rooms, valued throughout, 12 superior rooms and a suite.

The hotel has a bar and restaurant, with one menu on offer in both. Main courses are from GBP 8.95 to GBP16.50. We have gained an AA Rosette for our food as all dishes are freshly prepared and cooked on the premises, using local produce where ever possible.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 31 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 30.00 will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 85 percent of all nights will be charged.

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 30 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable.

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.
