Staying in one of our individual bedrooms is a great experience. All are recently refurbished to a high standard of luxury and comfort. Each room boasts a colour scheme to relax the eye, and home comforts to relax the body. All rooms are en suite with facilities that are quite exceptional for a village hotel. The Shireburn Arms Hotel boasts 3 executive courtyard rooms as well as 4 feature rooms. Sorry, no dogs are allowed in any of the Executive Rooms.

Privately owned and run by the Alcock family, the Shireburn Arms is situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley with breathtaking views in a lovely village setting. There is a special charm to this 17th century building, which is featured in many famous guides. The hotel's away from it all seclusion gives an immediate sense of relaxation. Enjoy friendly informality and 1st class standards in food, service and comfort. The Shireburn Arms has 22 delightfully refurbished en suite rooms, a fine dining restaurant and resident/public bar that all contributes to an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Food & Beverages

The hotel’s Valley Restaurant boasts stunning views across the Ribble Valley. The restaurant has an outside patio garden for al fresco dining during the summer months, weather permitting. Should you require a more intimate dining experience, the quaintness of the Priest Room is ideal. All dishes are freshly prepared to order and made using the finest local produce from around Lancashire whenever possible. Dining in the restaurant it a true Lancashire experience. The bars offer locally produced guest ales and real fires during the cold winter evenings.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 25.00 will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 25 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
