In the foothills of the magnificent Mendips, Cheddar is a quiet village, famous for its splendid surroundings, including the caves, Cheddar Gorge and other attractions. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the village itself, within walking distance, and if it is refreshing tranquillity you are looking for, then the village of Cheddar is ideal.
There is also plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and the region is great for walking, cycling, fishing, shooting, sailing and golf (both crazy and otherwise!)

Further afield, you might also like to explore Wells, Bristol, Yeovil and Bath.
