Throughout the many years and alterations it has its 3-stars which it since maintained. In 1895, and above all, Paul Biselx and his 2 sons Camille and Ulrich, built the modest pension. Hôtel du Glacier benefits from an ideal location in the heart of the resort, very much appreciated, close to the skiing slopes and the lake. Hôtel du Glacier includes a number of facilities, valued throughout, including activities such as tennis, biking and hiking, and a restaurant and bar.

The Hotel du Glacier receives you in its two differently styled restaurants. The Café/Pizzeria "La Table du Glacier": A relaxed atmosphere in friendly and original surroundings decorated with raw birch. Restaurant "Rouge Tendance": In summer, the terrace and the garden offer a magnificent view on the "Grand Combin" which adds to the pleasure of tasting the delicious dishes on offer.

Area information

Champex is a lively skiing resort located beside a charming small lake. It is only 20 minutes from Martigny and 35 minutes (26 km) from Verbier centre. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming and taking a pedalo boat on the lake. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, sleigh riding and ice skating.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 2 to 6 years are charged CHF 12.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 6 to 12 years are charged CHF 24.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 12 to 16 years are charged CHF 36.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
