Area information For centuries, Celle was a major centre of power and culture in the North. Numerous buildings are evidence of this, one example being the regal residential palace. Today, the cultivation of old traditions, together with modern urban life, join to create the attraction of the city. It is high season here all year round from the wine market and the parade of the stallions, through to jazz and sports events. Nature lovers can also experience life to the full in the Lüneburger Heide and in the Südheide Nature Park. Travel information Travel from Frankfurt, Kassel to the "Hannover-Kirchhorst" intersection. From Hamburg, take the exit "Soltau Süd". From Bremen, head on the A7 in the direction of Hannover and exit at "Schwarmstedt". From Dortmund, proceed to the intersection at "Hannover West", following signs for Hamburg, exit at "Mellendorf", then follow signs for Celle and when you reach the city, follow the green hotel guide system.
