Area information

The perfect choice for visiting Cascia, the Valnerina Valley and the Umbria region, the hotel is situated in Roccaporena, the birthplace of St Rita in 1381. 707 metres above sea-level, the town’s importance has been raised by the life and deeds of St.Rita, and has steel remains of the Medieval settlement. The Rocks of St.Rita, with a height of 120 metres, overlooks the town. It is located on the top of an imposing rock pyramid, where St. Rita used to withdraw to pray, and where the Saint would have left the prints of her knees and elbows; from there she would have been taken by Protector Saints. In the town, it is still possible to visit St.Rita's house and the Garden where the miracle of the rose and figs occurred. It is worth visiting the Church dedicated to St.Rita, built in 1948, and the Church of St. Montano, where she married Paolo di Ferdinando and her husband and children are buried.

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 5.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
