Area information The Cartaya Garden Hotel & Spa is situated next to the charming seaside village of El Rompido, in the municipal district of Cartaya, just 20 kilometres from the city of Huelva. Directly in front of the hotel is the Ria Piedras estuary, Which has a ferry crossing service. This leads to the protected nature park of la Flecha, where you can enjoy the beautiful, unspoilt beaches and crystal-clear waters. In this part of Spain, full of natural spaces of virginal beauty and charming towns, you will find the infectious spirit and happiness of the Andalusian lifestyle. Excursions around the surrounding area and in neighbouring Portugal are easy and comfortable thanks to the good public transport links in the region. Travel information By Car: From Faro Airport (Portugal): 96 km -Exit Faro airport via IP1 -Head towards A22/E01/IP1 70 Km -Follow the road N-444 for 3.7 Km -Turn left onto the N-431 road, for 3.5 Km -Take the road A-4106 7.5 Km. -From the roundabout, take the 2nd exit from the road A-4104 (follow 0.3 Km) El Rompido. From Seville Airport: 107 km. -Exit the airport- -After aprox. 1.5km turn off at exit 535 onto the SE-020 road towards (Isla Cartuja - A-66 - A-49) -Take the A-49 road towards Huelva. -When you see the sign "Huelva - Portugal" head in the direction ‘Portugal’. -From A-49 take the exit 105 towards Cartaya’s beaches. -Cartaya (Huelva). -El Rompido. ** Next to the Hotel there is a public car park.
