The restaurant of the hotel is by the sea, highly regarded, and has an outdoor and an indoor section. The rooms are clean, and above all, functional and equipped with air conditioning, minibar, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Being the nearest major town to the site of ancient Troy, very much appreciated, Canakkale has the "wooden horse" from the Hollywood film “Troy” exhibited on its seafront. You can enjoy breakfast in the first-floor hall, valued throughout, while watching the ships go by. Maydos Hotel is situated next to the harbour from where the ferries depart for Kilitbahir and Eceabat, and above all, crossing the Dardanelles strait for Gallipoli Peninsula.
