Iceni House's bedrooms are all en suite, except for 2 which share facilities with one another (these 2 rooms can double as a generous family room). Each bathroom boasts an excellent shower as well as toilet and sink. All rooms are bright, airy and have been individually designed to a high standard, providing comfort and charm. The rooms have been designed following different themes, offering a range of ambiences with both traditional and modern furnishings. The rooms include singles (with writing tables), doubles, twins and a superior double (with bath as well as shower plus other extra comforts - see room details) If you are celebrating a special occasion, you can pre-order champagne and flowers for your arrival - please request details when booking. The entire house benefits from free wireless internet. All the rooms have colour televisions with up to 30 digital channels. An iron, ironing board and payphone are available in the reception area. Please see individual room details for a full list of included facilities. High chairs and cots are available subject to room type booked and availability

Hotel details

Iceni House was converted from a family home into this 7 room bed and breakfast in November 2002, by the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn. Colin and Michelle are highly experienced in hospitality and pride themselves in the individual design of their home. You will receive a warm welcome from your hosts, who will attempt to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as they can. The house is maintained to an excellent standard of decor and cleanliness. Why not enjoy use of the fully-fitted guest kitchen; each room has its own locked cupboard with all you need to prepare meals/snacks (food not provided). The kitchen is available 7 days a week between 11:00 - 21:00. Guests also have their own large comfortable lounge area with children's toys and play-pen for infants, available 7 days a week between 09:00 - 21:00. The house is also able to offer a guest dining area - available 7 days a week between 11:00 - 21:00.

Food & Beverages

Breakfast is taken in the bright and airy dining room. A choice of cooked full English breakfast is given alongside a large range of continental produce. A small garden area opens up from the dining area where you may wish to take your breakfast during the warmer months. As well as the dining room, you are invited to request breakfast in your room, a continental option is placed in a fridge to be taken at leisure in the morning.

Full English breakfast will not be available from 30 July until 02 August (inclusive). A welcome pack will instead be provided. If arriving before 13:00, there will be someone to meet you. After this time, there is a 24-hour self-check-in facility (you must contact Iceni House before arrival if you want to use this). Iceni House will add an additional cost to payments made by credit card.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night for extra beds.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
