Area information Rugged North Cornwall is a haven for those who like the great outdoors, including extreme sports fans. Circular walks and the coastal path are on the doorstep, as well as sea kayaking, rock climbing, and of course, some of the best surf breaks in the South-West. Bude is also a calm sanctuary offering easy access to the hustle and bustle of places such as Padstowe, Boscastle and Newquay. Travel information By Car From the A5: - At junction 31, take the A30 signposted to Oakhampton. - From the A30 take the A386 to Bude and pick up the A3079. - Head onto the A3072 to Holsworthy and Bude. - Alternatively, take the scenic route and opt for the A39 'Atlantic Highway' all the way to Bude. - Once in Bude, follow the one-way system up the main High Street. - At the top, keep going straight ahead and pass the Post Office on your left. - Take the first available left turn onto Summerleaze Crescent, indicated by a brown tourist sign: ‘Beach Hotels’. - Continue two-thirds of the way along the crescent to The Edgcumbe.
