Hotel details

There is a relaxing sea-facing lounge bar (open 24 hours a day) where you can sit and take in the views of Brighton’s spectacular seafront and pier. The hotel also has a separate night club open Friday and Saturday nights, playing a mixture of Motown, soul, jazzy grooves, funk and old skool Breaks! The club has a great reputation and is well known for its lack of pretension and friendly crowd.

Travel information

By Road: - From the M23/A23 follow the signs for the seafront. - Keep going until you see the Brighton Pier in front of you, turn left at the roundabout and you will find the hotel about 300 meters on your left hand side. By Rail: - From Brighton train station head straight down Queen's Road to the seafront. - At the seafront turn left into Kings Road. On the right you will see the Brighton Pier. - At the roundabout take the second exit (A259) into Marine Parade and the New Madeira Hotel is about 200 metres on your the left hand side (walking time is approximately 20-30 minutes). Parking: There is limited parking available at the hotel (at an additional cost).

Area information

Just a stone's throw from the city centre and a pebble or so from the beach, the hotel overlooks the sea and the famous Brighton Pier. The Royal Pavilion and Brighton's 17th century lanes, as well as many theatres and restaurants are just a short distance away.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is not included and costs GBP 4.50 per person.  Full English breakfast is not included and costs GBP 6.00 per person.  Buffet breakfast is not included and costs GBP 6.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
