Rooms

There are 7 fully-appointed guest bedrooms, achieving a 5-Star/Silver Award standard. All rooms have double beds and all are available for single occupancy. One can be converted into a twin room. TVs with Freeview digital channels are in all rooms. There z-beds are available in 3 rooms, with a maximum of a z-bed and a cot in any one room.

The hotel is totally non-smoking throughout, except on the veranda and in the garden, of course. Chestnut House has a 5-star Quality Britain (English Tourism Council) rating, as well as having achieved a Silver Award for the last three years. Apart from the highest quality in accommodation, lounges and dining areas, we try to offer the very best in personal service. Nothing will be too much trouble!

Food & Beverages

The breakfast room at Chestnut House overlooks the garden and leads to the veranda. For breakfast, there is fresh fruit salad, yoghurts and cereals. This can be followed by a full English breakfast, or smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, eggy crumpets, kippers or poached eggs. Or anything else you fancy, if the ingredients are available. There are a series of small steps throughout the building including the entrance to the restaurant. Breakfast times are fairly flexible and Chestnut House always try to fit in with your plans. Chestnut House is licenced for an evening drink.

Payment Information You credit card charged at check-out (other than for no-shows or late cancellations). Please note that Chestnut House does not accept payment via American Express cards. Pets: Pets are welcome but cannot go into the breakfast room. Pets should also be accompanied by a guest at all times.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Free private parking is possible on site.

Pets are allowed. No extra charges.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
