Over the last two years Elim House has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme which is still ongoing and now means that all rooms are en-suite and most have been decorated in a neutral style. All rooms are individually heated to guest's taste. Some rooms have views of our award winning garden and fell views. Adult only hotel no children allowed

Hotel details

Elim House was built in 1849 as a gentleman's residence and as such is full of character, and has it's own little idiosyncracies, in fact it still has the stable room where the horses for the owner's carriage were kept. Some guest bedrooms are in an annexe that used to be a hayloft but has been brought into the 21st century with great creativity. Some rooms have beams and some are on the second floor. Please note that as it is not a custom built hotel there is no lift.

Food & Beverages

Full English breakfast is included in the price and is served between 08:30 and 09:30. Vegetarians, vegans and other dietary needs are catered for where possible. Please give prior warning.

Children and babies can not be accommodated at the hotel. No coach parties, no single-sex parties. Minimum 2-night booking at weekends, minimum 3-night bookings on public holidays. Elim House is now a non-smoking establishment. Late check-ins (after 21:00) must be agreed prior to arrival. Payment Information: Guests wishing to settle accounts with credit cards will incur a surcharge of 3%. This does not affect debit card transactions.

Free public parking is possible on site.  Free public parking is possible at a location nearby. 

Pets

Pets are not allowed.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.  Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.  Baby cots are not available.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
