The Waves Health & Leisure Club makes the Menzies Carlton the ideal place for a restful, relaxing and restorative break or for a luxurious weekend of pampering and a little well-earned indulgence. If you are staying at the hotel for business or for a holiday, the superb leisure facilities are a great way to relax after a hard day’s work or a long day spent exploring the area. Use of the leisure facilities is included in the quoted room rates for all hotel guests. Please note that children under 16 are not permitted to use the gym facilities. Business guests will feel equally at home in the hotel’s well-equipped conference suites, which feature the latest in communications technology. There are 7 function suites, ranging from executive-style boardrooms to a suite which can seat up to 250 delegates in a theatre style. The hotel’s comprehensive range of conference and meeting facilities make it the ideal venue for all your conference, product launch, training seminar and board meeting needs. The dedicated conference and banqueting team will be delighted to help you plan the perfect function. The impressive facilities will make even the most discerning traveller feel at home. Savour a splendid meal in Fredrick’s restaurant, with the sea as a stunning, sparkling backdrop. With the emphasis on choice, the à la carte restaurant’s head chef has produced an imaginative series of menus, with dishes ranging from classic British food to specialities influenced by the latest trends in continental cuisine. Freshly created using carefully selected ingredients and seasonal produce, the hotel prides itself on the quality and variety of its cuisine. The same care and attention goes into preparing banquets for up to 180 delegates as individual meals. Fredrick’s is a superb award-winning restaurant and was the recipient of an AA Rosette for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses. The restaurant has an elegant, traditional atmosphere and a formal dress code applies. In the evening, gentlemen must wear long trousers and a collar and tie, while ladies can enjoy the opportunity to dress for dinner.

You will be allocated either a double or a twin room. Room types are allocated on arrival and are subject to availability. Room types cannot be guaranteed, however advance requests will be noted.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 6.00 per hour.  Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 10.00 per 24 hours.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast costs GBP 14.95 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 17.50 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
