The area around Kaatjes Résidence is famous for its national parks which can be visited by boat or bicycle. In the summer months many pleasure craft sail into the harbour to moor along the quay. There are 2 one Michelin starred restaurants that can be reached within 2 walk: Kaatje bij de Sluis (located on the other side of the bridge) and the Hof van Sonoy. In the town of Giethoorn, about a 10 minute drive away, you will find the 2 Michelin starred restaurant de Lindenhof. The restaurants Prins Mauritshuis and Kommekie are also within walking distance from the hotel.
