The Lion Hotel is situated in the centre of one of Derbyshire's most historic towns, Belper. A former coaching inn but with a contemporary twist, right on the edge of the Peak District. This makes the hotel an ideal base for exploring heritage attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Deryshire Dales. The hotel provides an extremely high level of comfort and service. Please note that this is a non-smoking hotel.

Food & Beverages

Strutts Bistro is open every evening, serving a regularly changing menu, using fresh local produce. A wide selection of meals are available in the bar all day every day. The Lion Hotel offers something for everyone’s taste and caters for any special diets.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 3.
