This elegant 4-star hotel, built in 1794 for the 5th Duke of Bedford, is one of the most distinctive hotels in the town, overlooking the River Ouse. The hotel’s facilities are ideal for business and leisure guests looking for an ideal base for a short break to Bedford and surrounding areas. As a guest, you'll receive complimentary use of the Roman-style pool and spa located on the ground floor of the hotel. The Roman style pool and spa features a swimming pool and jacuzzi, open to residents Monday to Sunday, from 07:00 to 22:00. The River Room Restaurant, overlooking the River Ouse, serves freshly prepared cuisine in comfortable surroundings. Informal snacks, light meals and refreshments are served in the Lounge Bar, with 24-hour room service also available.

If cancelled up to 16:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is not included and costs GBP 11.95 per person.  Full English breakfast is not included and costs GBP 11.95 per person.  Buffet breakfast is not included and costs GBP 11.95 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children under 16 years stay free of charge for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
