The rooms are traditionally furnished in a warm and comfortable style and we pride ourselves on the standard of cleanliness maintained. The Shakespeare has its own unique style of hospitality for which it has gained recognition. All rooms are inspected each day. All arrivals have fresh linen and towels. For the business person and tourist visitor alike, the hotel offers a very comfortable standard of accommodation at very reasonable rates. All rooms have private bathroom or shower and toilet, hairdryer, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial room telephone and a computerised wake-up system.

The bar and restaurant has been delightfully re-themed to celebrate one of Shakespeare's best works, the most famous love story of all time, Romeo and Juliet. We are open to non-residents and a warm welcome is assured. Fresh new food ideas are served in an attractive setting *Please note restaurant is closed Sundays and restricted availability on Fridays and Saturdays due to private functions.

Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.

Free private parking is possible on site.

Pets are not allowed.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
