Landhotel Zum Storchennest

In our 40-year family-run establishment, very much appreciated, we take care of ill and injured storks and also to give home to the Weißstorch, which is white stork, . In this quiet location at the fringe of the Palatinate Forest, valued throughout, we have a popular, free breakfast, an open-air beer garden and comfortable accommodation in Germany’s first stork hotel. We have bikes for hire which you can ride through the forest or take one of the many hiking trails. You are invited to feel as welcome as our storks and to enjoy their sound. At the end of a long day, very much appreciated, our cosy restaurant serves warm, regional cuisine with fresh local produce. We’ll provide a packed lunch for your day of adventure.

Area information Due to our close proximity to the forest, within just a 5 minute walk you can go hiking through the Biosphärenreservat Naturpark Pfälzer Wald or cycling through the numerous bike paths. The area offers cultural attractions too, such as museums, churches and abbeys all located close by. We are near to the Pfälzer Jakobsweg for which you can book general packages at the hotel. Furthermore you will have easy access to Flughafen Zweibrücken (airport), the Universität Kaiserslautern, the Frauenhofer Institut, Fritz Walter Station and the Air-base Ramstein. There is also easy access to the motorway.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
