Area information Situated on the edge of the Harz Mountains, the spa town of Bad Harzburg offers a wealth of spa and leisure facilities. Beside the town’s charming spa gardens, you find an attractive pedestrian zone with quaint shops. You also find a cable car which takes you up to the top of the Großer Burgberg hill. This marks the starting point for various hikes. With its indoor and outdoor pools, the nearby Silberbornland offers fun for all the family. The surrounding area also offers a golf course, riding stables, tennis courts, skiing, a large wildlife park, and a new high ropes course (Skyrope-Hochseilpark).
