Especially popular amongst the gourmets is the „Ausseer Beef" from the Grillhias farm or the „Grundlseer milk lamb". Sheep’s cheese, butter, honey and jams are constantly being delivered freshly from the farmers and enrich our range of dishes on offer. Selected top wines, glass culture, cordial service and competent advice are a matter of course for us – your wishes a challenge which we will be thrilled to fulfill.

Area information Aussee has been a meeting point for artists, musicians and writers for decades. Gustav Mahler, Johannes Brahms, Friedrich Torberg and many more spent their summer holidays in the gorgeous Ausseer region. Even today artists such as K.M. Brandauer, Elisabeth Trissenar have made Aussee to their second home. „Autumn with the farmers wives“ – traditional customs, culinary delicacies from the farmers wives and lots of local folk music vitalize the colorful autumn days in Aussee following a turbulent cultural summer with highlights such as the „Altausseer Mid Summer Night’s Dream“, the State Opera Ballet in the „Sternenzelt“, the week of the Music Festival and „Trauntöne“.
