The hotel provides first-class en suite, budget accommodation, which is newly refurbished. The family rooms are well suited for children and, if desired, the hotel can provide a high chair and cot. The ground floor rooms, suitable for the elderly or disabled, may also be booked on request.

Hotel details

Set on Ayr's seafront, the hotel has been owned by the same Meikle family for almost 30 years now and in their time have made many improvements. The Gallery function room is ideal for weddings or private parties, catering up to 150 covers with views across the water to the Isle of Arran. The hotel can also cater for seminars in the 2 meeting rooms, again for up to 150 covers.

Food & Beverages

Our Glasshouse Restaurant is situated in the Conservatory, with panoramic views over the Clyde to the Isle of Arran. Recently given the Taste of Scotland Award for 'consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence' using fresh local produce our chefs cook up a wonder every night. Be it a full gourmet dinner or just snacks or suppers you'll never go hungry here. Add to this our wide range of wines and spirits and your sure to have a real culinary feast from breakfast through lunch to dinner.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 5.00 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

Please note, if cancelled or in case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 20 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is not included and costs GBP 9.50 per person.  Continental breakfast is not included and costs GBP 5.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
