Café: Oldest café in Amsterdam. On the corner of the Martelaarsgracht and the Prins Hendrikkade you will find the Café Karpershoek. According to the records, the Karpershoek opened in 1606, thus becoming the oldest café in Amsterdam. Behind the bar you will find classic Dutch bartenders, who love to tell (and hear) a good story. They are excited to serve you a foamy Heineken beer, or other refreshing drink, and answer any questions you might have.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  5 % city/tourist tax per room per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 10.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.  Extra beds are not available.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. 

Please note that in case specific policies apply to a particular room or rate, the specific room/rate policy prevails over the general hotel policy
