Each room has recently been refurbished in a charming traditional style. All of the rooms are comfortably furnished and have flat-screen TVs with Freeview digital channels. The owners take care to provide a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Amesbury is about 60 miles (100 km) from the outskirts of London, making Fairlawn an ideal stopover for those travelling to the West Country, Devon and Cornwall. Fairlawn is a non-smoking hotel with atmosphere.

Food & Beverages

There is a unique feature dining room situated in the former wine cellar area. A healthy continental-style breakfast is available each morning and, for the more traditional, a freshly home-cooked English or vegetarian breakfast is also available, cooked to your specific tastes. Breakfasts are prepared using as much local produce as possible. Evening meals are not available, but you will find a good selection of eateries within a short walk and the owners are happy to recommend some excellent country pubs a few miles away. Those with special dietary needs can be accommodated by prior request. Please contact the Fairlawn in advance, in order to inform them of your requirements. There is also a very comfortable residents’ lounge and a licensed bar.

Disabled Access: The house was originally built in 1837 and, as a listed building, access is limited; however, we want to provide the best service for all our guests. Please call reception in advance, in order to discuss your requirements.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Free public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not possible).

Pets are not allowed.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
