Lake House combines the comfort of a chic hotel with the warmth of a country guest house. Each of the 12 bedrooms are decorated and fitted to the highest standards. King-size, twin or family, they are all en suite. You¹ll find large, modern TVs with DVD players so you can make the most of our up-to-date DVD library. There are CD players and tea/coffee making facilities too. Young children (and even the big kids) can borrow our PlayStation 2, free of charge. Classic rooms are comfortable and offer king-size double beds, twin and family accommodation. These rooms have a country feel, taking on the character of the house. Lake view superior rooms are larger, with fantastic views over Lake Windermere and the Langdale pikes beyond. Rooms have king-size beds. Lake view four-poster rooms are beautiful, with breathtaking views of Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes beyond. Each has king-size four-poster beds. There is one fully converted disabled room on the ground floor that meets ETC accessibility for all criteria and other ground floor rooms with good access.

The sister hotel of Lake House (The Regent by the Lake) is located 100 metres away and offers an award-winning restaurant and indoor swimming pool for the use of all guests at Lake House. The hotel operates a completely non-smoking policy. If guests smoke in their rooms, the hotel may charge up to 1 night's accommodation as a penalty.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
