Each of the rooms is charming and tastefully decorated, with an en suite bathroom featuring a power shower. Club rooms are also available upon request. Hotel rooms may be allocated anywhere in the hotel, including in the new extensions. Please see individual room details for a complete list of the facilities on offer in each room.

Hotel details

The hotel advises that from 01 July 2007, the Ambleside Salutation Hotel will be completely non-smoking, including the guest bedrooms.

Food & Beverages

The hotel is open for lunch and dinner and offers a wide selection of meals, featuring the finest, freshest produce from the region. Please be advised that children under 5 years old are not allowed in the Garden Room Restaurant, but are more than welcome to eat in the bistro, where there is a children’s menu available from 17:30.

Internet

Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge. 

Parking

Free public parking is possible on site. 

Pets

Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.  Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children from 1 to 16 years are charged 100 % of the room stay per night when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
