Hotel Arcadia

The building dates back to the 1950s and first served as a dormitory. This hotel is the actual cradle of Elite Hotels Sweden. Bicky and his fellow students thought it was a waste that the dormitory rooms were empty during the summer months so they started to rent them out. At the end of the 1960s the president and owner of Elite Hotels, and above all, Bicky Chakraborty, came from Calcutta in India to Stockholm to study at the university. In 1995 it was renamed the hotel and it will soon be renovated into a first-class hotel - an Elite Hotel. After a while it became a year-round business and Hotel Arcadia, valued throughout, Domus, was founded.
