• Vatican City : The Vatican City is situated entirely within the city of Rome, sprawling over a hill west of the River Tiber, and separated from the rest of the city by a wall. Vatican City comprises St Peter?s Church, St Peter?s Square, the Vatican and the Vatican Gardens. Vatican City is situated just 2 blocks from the hotel.
• Spanish Steps : The Spanish Steps were named after a local 17th century ambassador's residence. No ordinary staircase, the steps are a bewildering mix of curves, straight flights, vistas, and terraces, usually covered with huge pots of flowers and lounging sightseers. Although the views from the top are superb, most people cluster around the Piazza di Spagna at the foot of the steps. The Spanish Steps are situated just five block away from the hotel.
• Navona Square : The baroque Piazza Navona is probably the most beautiful piazza in Rome. It is in the form of a giant oval with Via Vittorio Emanuele at one end and the other end 300m from the Tiber. The shape results from the ruins of the Stadium of Domitian, which lie underneath the present constructions. It is thought that in medieval times, the popes used to flood the piazza to stage mock naval encounters. Navona Square is situated 5 blocks from the Hotel Atlante Star.
• Trevi Fountain : The Trevi Fountain is the largest and most famous fountain. It was designed by Nicola Salvi and was completed in 1762. It is was designed so that visitors would always hear the fountain before they were able to see it. The main figures are Neptune with two Tritons, one trying to control a wild sea-horse, the other a calmer animal.
