Canal Trips
It's worth taking one of the canal boat tours to see Amsterdam from the water. The tours last about 90 minutes and take you around the city and through the harbour. For the more energetic, a canal bike can be hired from one of several points throughout the city (Westerkerk, Leidseplein, Leidsestraat, Rijksmuseum) and you choose your own route. Electric boats can be hired at the Nieuwmarkt on Kloveniersburgwal, at the corner of Leidsestraat and Prinsengracht, and at the other end of Kloveniersburgwal near the Munt Tower.
