The board moved on to more modern premises from this B listed building for it to be converted into a stylish urban hotel in 1999. Set in a grand old Glasgow townhouse, valued throughout, with vast circling staircase and antique gated elevator, the the hotel once housed the education headquarters from 1911. The sympathetic refit and subsequent additions have given the the hotel both international standing and awards, highly regarded, whilst securing a place locally as a popular conference venue and eating place. Set in a beautiful district of the city centre in the midst of the financial district, and above all, the main shopping thoroughfare is one block away, and nightlife is nearby for the more adventurous.
