Opened in 1989, very much appreciated, this self-contained village resort has all the services and amenities the most seasoned traveler could want. Planned with an architect's talent, which is noted Caribbean architect Ian Morrison designed it, and a landscape artist's flare, valued throughout, Windjammer Landing is a true resort with fun and activities, privacy, which is you add the romance, and the look and feel of an exotic village. There are 248 rooms located in spacious, highly regarded, quiet villas.
At Windjammer Landing you are ensconced on 60 lush and flowering acres, and above all, right on a magnificent crescent-shaped private beach. Lucia. Each has a look and feel of what you may have visualized on the plane en route to St. Gentle trade winds sweep through the open concept living and dining rooms. Sunny prints are on the beds and chairs, and above all, rattan furniture decorates the spacious rooms, warm ceramic tiles are everywhere. All villas come with fully-equipped kitchens and bedrooms have an ocean view. Ceiling fans and bedroom air conditioners are there to cool you further if you need it. Brick paths wander through the 60 acres of magnificent landscaping, highly regarded, with scented gardens, sparkling pools and waterfalls, covered walkways, pickled wood and hand-painted tiles.
Each villa and cluster of rooms is secluded from its neighbors by tall trees and flowering bushes.
In this village resort, very much appreciated, there is everything to keep you going day and night if you choose or many quiet places to simply do nothing -- put your feet up, relax and take in the sheer physical beauty of your surroundings. And there is jitney service to take you from your villa to anywhere on the property.
