The Wendover airbase was originally activated on July 29, 1941. The Enola Gay which dropped the atomic bomb nicknamed "Little Boy" on Hiroshima, Japan, was stored here in the Enola Gay Hanger. The Enola Gay Hanger is now the musuem. The airbase is currently unactive.
