The beautifully appointed Cornwallis Suite is ideal for meetings, functions, weddings and conferences for up to 100 delegates. The room can easily be divided into two areas, allowing flexible accommodations for smaller numbers. The Cornwallis Suite is suitable for hosting a cocktail party for up to 150 guests, up to 100 theater or banquet style, 65 classroom style, and 45 U-shape boardroom style.

Both rooms are suitable for hosting a cocktail party for up to 50 people, up to 40 theater or banquet style, and 20 classroom and U-shape boardroom style.
-Orient Room-
The Orient Room provides an exotic, oriental setting to enhance any function or meeting for up to 80 guests.
-Alexandre Room-
The Orient Room is transformed into an opulent Russian fantasy setting over the Christmas period (December) with a table laden with gilded candlesticks, lush damask and velvet, and delicacies not seen since the time of Anastasia.
-Reception Room-
Adjoins the Cornwallis Suite and can be used as a lobby area or as an independent meeting room.

Four boardrooms with seating for up to ten, each with its own cloakroom facilities, are comfortable and spacious with the added advantage of natural light.

The Globe Bar, with its intimate, club atmosphere and comfortable old-world charm, provides a quiet, relaxing haven away from the crowds. Furnished with lush velvet sofas and leather wing armchairs, and featuring a long, marble-topped bar flanked by soft green leather bar stools, green and gold table lamps adorn the polished mahogany side tables, while a large, hand-tufted rug covers the honed, sandstone-colored marble floor. The Bar's cedar-paneled walls feature original oils depicting scenes of Captain Cook and his voyage around Australia, evoking a mood of travel and adventure from a bygone era. The Drawing Room at The Observatory Hotel is a luxurious, private sitting room for the exclusive use of hotel guests. Furnished in traditional Regency style, The Drawing Room features comfortable, down-filled sofas, Louis XV winged chairs and a magnificent, antique fireplace that once graced Sydney's historic Elizabeth Bay House. The pale blue silk-covered walls are adorned with original oils of Australian scenes and a series of pastel portraits of famous Australians. China vases and interesting objects d'art are scattered on the walnut side tables, along with elegant, brass candlestick lamps with silk white shades.
