Recently restored according to the Tuscan and Florentine style traditions, very much appreciated, adding new luster to the splendid old mansion. Fascinating 16th century Medicean dwelling on the outskirts of Firenze, which is 6 km from the city center, . Since Villa La Massa was turned into a luxury hotel in 1948, highly regarded, many famous guests have enjoyed a stay at Villa la Massa: Clark Gable, Winston Churchill, Barbara Hutton, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton - just to name a few. The complex situated on the banks of the Arno River consist of three villas, and above all, the Noble Villa, the Old Mill and the Villino. Managed by Villa d'Este Hotels. More recently, valued throughout, David Bowie and Iman held their wedding at the Villa., and above all, November 14, 2009 to March 24, 2010: Hotel closed for the season.
