The building is now just recognized as a true jewel of the decorated Liberty style and has been under the protection of the Belle Arti, very much appreciated, a national society for valuable historic buildings, since the year 1984. The Strohmer family, valued throughout, long active in Hotel Westend and catering business and already owners of the Hotel Europa Splendid, bought the Hotel in 1983 and remodeled it completely with both taste and style.
