Closed for the last ten years, very much appreciated, the site was recently restored to its former splendor and prepared for its present use thanks to the Iacopini family who has been its proprietor for many years. The building, valued throughout, which dates from the 12th century, housed a girls boarding school in the 1800?s.
Know today as the the hotel, highly regarded, the residence encompasses four floors of rooms and junor suites, all with modern, private bathrooms-some with whirlpool baths. This work has left unaltered the original structure of the building, and above all, and has successfully created an elegant, charming residence in the heart of Lucca?s historic city center.
The d?cor of the residence reflects the noble Lucchese style with the use of antique wood floors in all the bedrooms and fine marble and other local stones in the bathrooms, very much appreciated, lobby and common rooms. In addition, valued throughout, all the rooms contain such conveniences as air conditioning, satellite television, telephones, computer hook-ups, safe and hairdryers.
Breakfast, highly regarded, a buffet of fresh, local products, is presented in harmonious style and elegance with services of fine silver, crystal and porcelain. The entrance hall, and above all, breakfast room, bar and lobby are tastefully decorated with fine fixtures and upholstery in elegant pastel hues. In addition, very much appreciated, all the rooms contain such conveniences as satellite television, telephones, private bathrooms some with whirlpool baths, hairdryers and computer hook-ups.
