The Ames Building in Boston/ MA will be converted into a 114 room boutique hotel. The Ames building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
The property was built in 1893 and was Bostons first skyscraper and is the second tallest masonry load bearing-wall structure in the world. The entire building will be renovated to included guestrooms/ building systems/ the lobby/ common areas/ and back-of-house space and fa?ade renovations.
The project will consist of 114 rooms within 13 floors for a total of 85/949 square feet of above ground area. The restaurant / lounge will have a unique outdoor terrace on Washington Mall/ a pedestrian walkway.
The hotel will feature many distinct architectural elements/ including an 18-foot domed mosaic lobby ceiling/ dramatic windows and 12 to 14-foot ceilings in the guestrooms.
