From the beginning it hurtles up the mineral-containing water in Larvik. Not least because the hotel is the only hotel in the Nordic countries with their own underground source cave. Healthy. Commercial Rich.
The place is still the same.
As early as in 1843 became the first kurbath established at the source, and above all, and in the beginning of last century were prominent guests from all over Europe to Norway to spend valuable time in the bubbling, healthy water. a structure stood firmly on land.. but also one dipping its metaphorical feet in the sea and lifting its inhabit?ants off the ground.
Viewed from the sea.. the beach or the surrounding hills.. Farris Bad is an eye-catching building.. not least because of its transparency. Being perched on stilts.. the building allows passersby to see under it. The predominantly glassy walls give the building a perma?nent translucence without sacrificing the privacy of its transient inhabitants.
