Travel information

Heraklion Kazanzakis Airport : Exit Heraklion Airport and take the highway E75 Ethniki-odos-Rethymnou towards Rethymno. It is the only road leading here; so you can not miss it. After about 60km you will see the area Scaleta which you need to drive through. There you will see a sign for Rethymno Old Road; turn right and continue to drive all the way until you find the area of Platanes. Continue for 5km. Axos hotel is located in the centre of Platanias; on your left side just opposite Marem supermarket. There are scheduled buses from Heraklion Airport to the city of Rethymno every hour. The first one starts at 05.30 and the last one at 20.30. As soon as you reach the bus station of Rethymno; take the number 20 bus to Hotels or Panormo. They leave every 15 minutes

Chania Souda Airport : Chania Airport is located in Souda village. Exit the airport and drive towards the national road E75 and head to Rethymno town. It is about a 50 minute drive. Do not turn at the first junction to the town because the Axos Hotel is situated 6km away. Drive all the way along the national road; passing the town-you will be able to see Rethymno on your left hand side. Turn right when you see a sign for Platanias. Axos Hotel is located in the center of Platanias; on your right side just opposite Marem supermarket. There are scheduled buses from Chania Airport to the city of Rethymno every hour.
