Established in 1978 the 3 star Townhouse has a long standing commitment to the comfort of our guests. Their memories have been honoured by displays in the lobby of memorabilia; photographs and original playbills. The original Townhouses were the elegant family homes of two famous playwrights; Dion Boucicault- 1829-1890 and Lafcadio Hearn-1850-1904. Each bedroom is named after one of their works and are all decorated in a Georgian or modern style and equipped with Satellite TV; tea and coffee making facilities; desk; safe; air conditioning; heating; en-suite bathroom with hairdryer and WiFi. Both men had colourful and singular lives and their histories are recounted in full in the lobby. Free Garage parking is provided at the rear of the property subject to availability. In 1997 there new addition of The Townhouse Mews was completed providing a new wing in a beautiful minimalist style with oak wooden floors; designer furniture and elegant simplicity. Children over this age will be considered an adult. Additional Information; Children age 12 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. The Townhouse of Dublin reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

It is just 100m from the Central Bus and Airport Coach Station and 200m from the mainline rail and Dart Station.

Travel information

Dublin Airport : From Dublin Airport head south toward Swords Rd and continue straight until the roundabout and take the 2nd exit. Bear left at Dublin Rd. Go through 1 roundabout and at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M1 ramp. Merge onto M1. Continue on N1-Swords Rd. Continue to follow N1. Turn left at Upper Gardiner St. Continue straight onto Mountjoy Square W. Continue on Middle Gardiner St. Continue on Lower Gardiner St and the hotel is on the right.
From the airport you can also take the City Link and the 747 to the Central Bus Station-Busarus and the hotel is just a 3 min walk from there. The Luas Tram will also take you from Houston Train Station to The Central Bus Station-Busarus.
