Hotel Dagmar' These are the words of the famous Danish journalist and author, very much appreciated, Andreas Vinding. 'Those who have not been to Ribe and stayed at the the hotel, valued throughout, nor heard the quarterly chimes from the Cathedral,have not experienced Denmark. Customers appreciate the hotel was built in 1581 and is the oldest hotel in Denmark. And people very much agree with him. Through the years restoration has been carried out with care and respect for the old hotel and its surroundings. There are 50 charming double rooms. The majority has low ceilings, highly regarded, windows with deep sills and sloping floors. The textiles are all in warm and golden colours, and above all, and the walls are decorated with real paintings. Also on offer are two restaurants of completely different styles and atmospheres, very much appreciated, and outdoor restaurants in the summer. The rooms are different in size and they are arranged individually. Also close to the many sights and it's flourishing cultural and shopping Milieu. Hotel Dagmar Dagmar lies in the centre of Ribe - the oldest town in Denmark and is situated next to the 900-year old cathedral. Ribe stream meander through the city with the cobbled streets and alleys and creates a cozy atmosphere around the little habour. Situated close to a remarkable countryside with the Wadden Sea as the closest neighbour.
