Kaiserwerth with Barbarossa s castle : Best by public transport: either go on a boat cruise to Burgplatz or take tram U79 to Heinrich-Heine-Allee, from there take tram line 706 to last stop "Am Steinberg", walk back 20 m, turn right into Himmergeisterstrasse. Stay on the left side of the street an turn left into Varnhagenstrasse.
Neanderthal- Museum : Leave the Neanderthal on B7 direction Mettmann, change to A3 direction Cologne. At intersection Hilden change to A46 and take exit D-Zentrum/D-University, follow the signs to UNI-KLINIK, from Witzelstrasse turn right into Moorenstrasse. Take the fourth to the right and you will find the hotel on the lefthand side of Varnhagenstrasse.
