Erftlagune, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool open all year round, is a 3-minute car journey away. Blanace Sportparc offers new generation fitness facilities on an area of 3300 m2 and can also be easily reached in 6 minutes by foot. Saunahof Hahn is located on an area of 25000 m2 and guests will find 5 Finnish saunas, 2 roman steam baths, an indoor ozone pool, a heated outdoor pool and much more. • Area Attractions : Michael Schumacher Kart and Event Center with the Schumachers World Museum. Trips Villa, the Graf Berghe von Trips Museum, the formula-1 driver from the early 1960s. Tourist attractions in the town: The house where Adolf Kolping was born, Marienfeld and Papsthuegel Pope Hill where Pope Benedict addressed the worlds youth in 2005. Nowadays this field is a place of relaxation with many cycle and walking routes, a small lake and many interesting species of animal. 500 metres from the hotel there are many large cycle-routes, such as the Kaiser-route, the Erft-cycle route and the 3-river tour. The lignite mine can be marvelled at from throughout the entire region. Gigantic diggers carry the individual layers of earth away. There is a museum at the Paffendorf Castle which explains how energy from the mine becomes electricity from sockets, which is a 15-minute drive away. Bruehl, with its numerous castles and the famous Phantasialand, is just a 15-minute drive from Park-Hotel. Cities such as Cologne 20 minutes, Aachen 30 minutes, Duesseldorf and Bonn 40 minutes do not need to be described in detail here. The names speak for themselves. The central location of the Park-Hotel makes direct connections to the aforementioned places possible via the motorways. Especially convenient and worth a mention is the S-Bahn urban rail connection to Cologne. The train goes to Cologne and back in 20 minute intervals. Journey time is 23 minutes.
