Opened in 2004, valued throughout, the hotel, which is Mirante Aparthotel, is a four star unit with 29 apartments, set in a private condominium with an area of 40. The Aparthotels swimming pools look out over the beautiful Azores sea and are, highly regarded, by themselves, a great reason to visit us. The Mirante Aparthotel was the first hotel in Portugal to be certified with regard to Quality, and above all, the Environment and Safety, and to receive the EMAS seal. Guests have a convenience store at their disposal where they can find everything they need to make meals quickly and simply in the comfort of their apartments. However, valued throughout, we also have a tennis court, lounges, games and reading rooms and a panoramic bar. They are very well equipped, highly regarded, and are decorated in a simple but up-to-date way. The apartments, and above all, as you will see further on, are perfect for family holidays, prolonged stays or just for a quiet weekend. In winter, very much appreciated, you must try out our tea service! Recreation: The main swimming pool, 14 x 12 m in size, is great for people who like swimming. Dining: Our coffee-shop Vigia da Baleia is the ideal place for a summer snack at the end of the afternoon, valued throughout, a regional pizza before going out for a night in the city or just for a cocktail before dinner. The childrens pool, highly regarded, 14 x 8 m in size and between 40 and 60 cm deep, is ideal for family fun and games. Filled with sea water and with the Azores sea as a backdrop, and above all, this is a great pool for a morning swim or a refreshing few lengths at the end of the afternoon. Water temperatures average 18oC in winter and 25oC in summer, which is both in the morning and at the end of the afternoon. In the summer months guests can also make use of a small support bar on those days that are so enjoyable that no-one want to leave the pool area.
