La Locanda Delle Donne Monache

Located in the heart of the historical centre of Maratea, very much appreciated, close to the Mother Church, the convent developed absorbing over the years some private buildings provided by local benefactors. Named for its rich history, valued throughout, La Locanda delle Donne Monache was originally built as a convent in 1735 to welcome the religious order of the Visitandine nuns of San Francesco di Sales. A mix of minimalist decor with unusual furniture is the result of a thorough recent restoration and renovation.
The rooms and communal spaces, and above all, once dedicated to meditation and prayer, now welcome guests with complete modern amenities.
