Nowadays it is a ghost town, due to the emigration caused by the decline in the mining industry.
• Real de Catorce : Extraordinary place that can only be reached by a 1.5 km long tunnel. Its population declined when silver production dropped, plummeting from 40,000 to a couple of hundred inhabitants, meaning that Real del Catorce is virtually a ghost town today.
