Grand Hotel Miramare TaorminaBuilt in 1922; the Patrician villa of the Lo Turco family was transformed into a hotel in 1926. The 4 star Grand Hotel Miramare is located only 400 meters from the centre of Taormina and is just a short walk away from the Greek theatre and the cable-way to the beach. Grand Hotel Miramare Taorminas 68 rooms are quiet; bright and air-conditioned; all equipped with mini bar; direct dial telephone; hairdryers; Sat TV and pay per view. There have been various conservation projects throughout the years; the last of which took place in 2007 in the form of extensive restoration work which maintained the antique charm of a residence out of another era and respected the style of both the villa and the furbishing of the rooms; while at the same time adding all the comforts required for an elegant and relaxing vacation; panoramic restaurant; bar; pool grill; swimming pool; tennis courts; internet point; etc. The main restaurant faces a large terrace overlooking the Messina Straight and it is the ideal place to try the typical flavours of Sicily. Most rooms also have a sea view balcony or windows. Grand Hotel Miramare Taormina also offers a summer shuttle service to beaches and there is a tennis court and ample car parking available at a charge. During the summer season it is also possible to have dinner on the panoramic terrace and; during the day; the grill bar by the swimming pool offers light meals and snacks in a relaxing atmosphere. Children age 3-12 receive a 50pct reduction when sharing with an adult. Additional Information; Children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding.
