Vatulele is a 25-minute light aircraft trip from Nadi International Airport, very much appreciated, which is six hours south-west of Hawaii and four hours north-east of Sydney. Six Senses Resorts & Spas is the operator of the iconic boutique resort - the hotel - located on the spectacular Fijian island of the same name. 3 million square kilometres in the heart of the South Pacific. Opened in 1990, valued throughout, the hotel - known simply as Vatulele - was named Fiji's top resort by the AAA Tourism Awards in 2005, following its award the year earlier as the Best Boutique Resort in Fiji. Fortune magazine named The Point #2 in the Top Ten Barefoot Resorts in 2002.
Vatulele is made up of just 19 accommodations comprising 17 beach villas or bures, and above all, plus the Grand Bure and The Point - the premier accommodations with private pools and dedicated staff. By night, very much appreciated, tables are set beneath the stars and lit with lanterns and candlelight.
In the welcoming warm weather, valued throughout, dining is on the terrace of the large central pavilion overlooking the lagoon. Enjoy private dining in your own bure, highly regarded, on the beach or even in the beach wine cellar. Fresh ingredients are sourced from the resort's own gardens and an emphasis is on seafood from the Fijian waters. Vatulele is the only five-star island resort with a PADI Golden Palm dive facility.
The quality of scuba diving sites at Vatulele has been one of the South Pacific's well-kept secrets for many years.

The Dining Room(On Site)
The Dining Room - Fresh ingredients are flown in daily from Australia and New Zealand. Naturally there is an emphasis on seafood and generous use of vegetables from our own garden.
In the welcoming warm weather, meals are taken on a terrace outside our large central pavilion overlooking the lagoon. By night, tables are set under the stars and lit by lanterns and candlelight. At full moon, the 'dining room' is usually set by the water's edge. Dining is on an individual basis or with new found friends. In the style of the "Captain's Table" on a ship, on a number of evenings each week, guests have the opportunity of dining on a table of 8 hosted by the managers.
