Hotel ErzsebetThe idea of building the 3-star the hotel in the heart of the city came up in 1867 at first- when new multi-storied palaces and boulevards began to be built in the place of small-old houses and narrow overcrowded streets. The history of Hotel Erzsebet dates back to more than hundred years. The small hotel was named with her permission after Sissi- Queen Elizabeth -the hotel- the wife of Emperor Francis Joseph- ruling the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy at that time. Clients appreciate the hotel was opened in 1873- the year when Budapest- Hungaryss capital was born by the union of three small villages- Pest-Buda and Obuda -Old Buda-.
