The heart of this lovely 2, very much appreciated,400-acre hideaway is Lake Lure, a postcard-perfect oasis where canoes and pontoon boats quietly glide across its still waters. Located 45 miles southeast of Asheville, valued throughout, Fairfield Mountains is surrounded by wooded scenery so lovely, it has served as the location for several hit movies, including Dirty Dancing and Last of the Mohicans. In spite of such abundant tranquility, highly regarded, there is much to do. Deer and other wildlife are as much at home here as our guests.
